Although my post Why I am running for The Christie has just been published, I have been training for the past two weeks and it has been difficult. I am not just talking “oh my legs hurt” difficult, I am talking about compressed nerve, attacked by a dog, nearly quit difficult.
On the 20th of May I will be running the Great Manchester Run 10k in aid of The Christie. I’d like to point out that I am in no way prepared for this.
So, it’d be nearly a year since I have even remotely tried to run. I’ve made my excuses and ate everything I could get my hands on. Lately I’ve found myself looking in the mirror and not recognising the person staring back.
